Today in Te reo Maori we learned about weather. We had to match the Maori words to the English translation

In the holidays …….

 

It’s finally the holidays so i can watch real madrid vs manchester city.(Real Madrid is from Spain and Manchester City is from England). The first match was on Monday, the first day of the holidays . It was at 7am so i woke up before 7 and got ready and turned the tv on, (the tv was in the living room. I watched the first half of the match and then teams went to have a 15 mins break. They went back to play and play the second half. When the second half finished the game was a tie. 

But the next week it was another game with the same teams. 

 

Next week on monday its the match!!!    Real Madrid vs Manchester city. At the same time (7am). The first half was for real madrid 1-0 but after they came back to play the second half manchester city scored their first goal for the match. I thought that Manchester city  would score the second goal but the referee whistled and the game went to penalties.   And Real Madrid won in the penalties (4-2). 

 

On my next holiday I want to watch a real live football match. 

Wednesday 3rd April 

 

On friday it was a holiday and i was sleeping because i was fasting so when  i woke up me and my brother went to play football on the field. We played penalty and lots of other games. After we finished playing we went back home to pray and break our fast. My dad and my older brother went to the  mosque but I was so lazy and stayed at home. The next Saturday I was so thirsty and slept  until it was prayer time. On Sunday I woke up at 10 am and played with my little sister. After that I went to play with my bike with my brother and then we came back to play football with my brothers. On Monday morning I woke up and watched some movies. It was the afternoon prayer and then I went to read books. I finished reading books and then I went to play with the bike. It was me and my brother. We came back and played football with my older brother and my little brother. On  Tuesday I was so tired and woke up at 11 am. I played football and got ready to go to the mosque. At night time It was prayer time and I prayed and went to break my fast. We went to the mosque with my older brother and my dad. We spent the night there until 3 am in the morning.  We came back home and prayed al Fajir and went to sleep. 

Today we had to draw a fish using shapes. Here is my picture.

Does your school have a water sports day?

Here at Weymouth we do!

 

 On Friday our whole school had a fun sports day.

The rangi team started in our school swimming pool. We gathered in our houses. Te uru is red, Te tonga is green,Te whiti is yellow and Te raki ( THE BEST HOUSE ) is blue. 

 

The first activity we  did was the coloured hoops. We need to  go under the water and under the hoops to take them to your team. And also there’s a teacher that puts the timer on. 

 

The second activity was the coloured plastic balls. Every house goes in the water to take the balls out from the pool. And there was a timer for every house who makes the least time wins! 

 

The third activity was over under . Every house needs to jump in the water to play the game.So first you go over the kids and the under and you do that until you get to the end. All of these activities were in our school pools.

 

After we finished all of the activities it was morning tea time. We went to play and then we went back to class to eat. We finished eating and then we headed to our school corts and the field. 

 

And the next activity was every house goes step by step to play. There were four places to play; every house finish goes to the other game. The first game for Te raki was the sponge game. When the teacher picked someone to get a sponge and squeeze it on somebody. It’s like the duck duck goose.

 

And the next activity was to go on the field to be in groups of six. And if the bucket fulls on you, you lose. When we finished it was lunch time. So we went to play, we finished playing, we went to eat, we finished eating straight away and went back to the slide. So they put some liquid soap. And then they slide. 

 

Our last activity was we needed to take a sponge and then we took a little water and squeezed it in a little container. And that was our last activity in the water fun day.

 

At the end it was so long day and i was so tired and i almost break my fast.  

 

For this task we had to match the Moari words to the English words.
